Sometimes I am awake and concience but paralyzed.?

On some occations, especially when I am very exhausted I may stir up paralyzed; or, as I go to sleep I drift into the state of paralysis back loosing conciensness. I can usually move a toe or few and once I start shaking them my foot slowly awakes and eventually I can move. I only do this because it can be particularly scary thinking in the region of sufocating and such when your face is lying on a pillow and you cannot move. I know that sure stages of sleep will initiat paralysis. However, I was wondering if within is any known dub for this condition or occurence and if anyone else may have experienced it. It's happened to me once or twice but I know abundant people who draw from it all the time.
