RNFA's eligible for Clinical Ladder?

Any nurses out there know if RNFA's are eligible for their hospitals Clinical Ladder? The hospital I am employed at is of late starting a clinical a ladder but articulate only the RN's may apply. I don't seize that. I'd like to hear what other nurses experience at their workplace. Thanks! First, I'm a medical librarian, not a nurse - so this is the outsider's side.
Traditionally, the Clinical Ladder and Certification tracks are separate. The Clinical Ladder Track is designed to keep skilled nurses from moving out of nursing diligence into administrative roles. The Certification Track is designed to reward nurses who expand their clincal expertise.
From scanning the literature and discussion to nurses, I think that mixing too much into a babe-in-arms Clinical Ladder Track will trash it before it get started. If your hospital has no Certification Track -- especially for CRNFA, CCRN, CCNS, PCCN, CEN, ACNP, FNP, CPAN, CRNA, CNOR, APRN, & BC --consider address this issue separately from the Clinical Ladder group. Starting a Certification Track, while far more work, may provide better long term results.
Good luck!
